George W. Stanley, 80, died peacefully Saturday, May 2nd. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Stanley. He was the son of the late Thomas Stanley and his wife Amy Stanley. He is the brother of Betsy Marotte and the late Noah, Joseph,John, Samuel and Charles Stanley.
He is the loving father of Amy Dolby and her late husband Greg Dolby, George Stanley Jr. and his wife Vicky, Bessie Dejesus and her husband Eugene, Gloria Leocardio and her husband Manny, William Stanley and his wife Ladonna, Sophie Stanley and Carrie Stanley. George has 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
George was a loving man who loved the Lord. He was kind and compassionate. His bark was always worse then his bite. Always giving with an open heart. Opened his home to many. Loved making people laugh. He loved seeing people happy. He really taught us the importance of family and loyalty. He had a special place in his heart for animals especially his dog mush man. Every morning he would wake up to feed his birds he called them his chickidees. George resided in Rehoboth Massachusetts for 44 years where he ran Stanley Trailer Sales. George is loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.
Due to restrictions on social gatherings as a result of the current pandemic the family will organize a memorial service at a later date.
